About Platinum

Four decades of espresso, one company

We bring Greece the espresso brands of Italy and Portugal, chosen for their history and supported by people who know the trade inside out.

Our story

From the cafés of France to the cafés of Greece

Our story begins in 1983, on the French Riviera.

Platinum is a family business. Our founder has worked in the import and trade of espresso for the HoReCa market for more than 40 years. In 1983, when the French market belonged entirely to French roasters, he introduced Italian espresso to France, starting in the south, on the French Riviera, and went on to bring some of Italy's best-known coffees to the country.

That experience led to Trade Solutions Platinum, founded in Greece in 2017 as the exclusive importer and distributor of Del, Bellissimo and Kamo. In 2023 Mauro and Gimoka joined, also exclusively for the Greek market.

Today we supply more than 500 points of sale across Greece: directly in Athens, and through a network of distributors in the rest of the country.

Italian brands introduced in France

Our founder introduced Italian espresso to France at a time when only French roasters existed there. Starting on the French Riviera in 1983, he brought in Segafredo, then Lavazza, Hausbrandt and Kimbo, between 1983 and 1997.

In 2011 he signed the historic worldwide agreement between Autogrill-HMS Host and Kimbo, and the same year he introduced Kimbo in Greece, the first step towards Trade Solutions Platinum.
